Natural face packs for dry skin

Dry skin requires maximum care and attention as it is more likely to look dull and scaly. Moreover, the lack of moisture also makes it more prone to aging and wrinkles. To maintain the right amount of moisture content in your, it is very important to keep yourself hydrated by drinking at least 7-8 glasses of water a day. One should also include plenty of vegetables and fruits in our diet. Consumption of fish and dairy products is also useful.

Dry skin also needs pampering, so apply a natural fruit and vegetable based face mask at least twice a week. These face masks can be easily made at home, and the advantage is that they are devoid of any harmful, synthetic chemicals, which can cause more harm than good. Below mentioned are some natural face masks that can be easily made at home.

1. Make a paste by mixing one small cucumber with one teaspoon of milk cream. Apply it on the face and leave for 30 minutes, before rinsing it off.

2. Add one teaspoon of turmeric powder, one teaspoon of sandalwood powder and two teaspoons of almond oil to half cup of gram flour. Add some water to make a paste. Apply it on the face and leave for 5-10 minutes before washing it off.

3. Mash about a quarter of ripe papaya along with a tablespoon of aloe vera gel into a fine paste. Apply it on the face and leave it for 15 minutes. Then wash it off.

4. Mash a ripe banana with one teaspoon milk cream, one teaspoon honey and half teaspoon butter. Apply it on face and leave for 5-10 minutes before washing it off.

5. Make a paste by mashing a quarter of avocado with half cup of buttermilk. Refrigerate for about 10 minutes, apply it on face and keep for 15 minutes before washing it off.

6. Add half a teaspoon of olive oil to half a cup of mayonnaise. Apply it on the face and leave for minutes before washing it off.

7. Mash a ripe banana along with a quarter of ripe papaya to make a smooth paste. Add half a teaspoon of olive oil and half a teaspoon of almond oil and apply it on face. Wash off after 10 minutes.

8. Mash a cucumber with a teaspoon of aloe vera gel. Add a teaspoon of rose water to the paste and apply it on face. Wash off after 15-20 minutes. This is an excellent face mask which gives a cooling effect on our skin.

9. Mash one cup of grapes along with one teaspoon of aloe vera gel and one teaspoon of honey. Refrigerate the paste for 10 minutes and apply it on face. Wash it after 10 minutes. This is also an excellent face mask for sun burnt skin.

10. Add one teaspoons of coconut milk to half a cup of fresh pineapple juice, and add two teaspoons of cornstarch to make a paste. Apply it on the face and leave it for fifteen minutes. Then wash it off
